After successfully completing these week 1 exercises you will have proved your mastery over your first 56 Swahili words, 28 positive and 28 negative infinitives. There are many more infinitives to learn but you should feel good about your progress at this point.
Next week we are going to take a look at the Direct Imperative verb form. Its important that you don't move on until you've gotten 100% on all the excercises as the direct imperative forms we'll study are made from the radical of the Infitives you've just learned here in week one.
The videos of Uganda I've included for several reasons. First, Uganda is a Swahili speaking country. Most of you will only know Uganda through the Juvie "The Last King of Scotland", but as you progress in your studies here you will be enlightened as to the real story of this nation and its importance for us. Second, I just love how they call the peckerwood in the video "Mzungu" all the time, laugh at him, and tell him to go away. Its wonderful.
